Why is this happening

This error occurs when QuickBooks encounters an unexpected blank line on the form. The blank line is created if you click or tab to a new line after the last item on the form.

The cause of this situation and its solution are currently under investigation. Please click here if you would like to be notified via e-mail when a solution to this issue becomes available.

Detailed Instructions

To resolve this issue, position your cursor on the last line item in the form that contains data before printing the form.

An alternative solution is for the QuickBooks administrator to clear the option in the Company Preferences that requires saving a transaction before printing it:

  1. Switch to single-user mode.
  2. Select the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  3. Select General in the left pane of the Preferences window, and then click the Company Preferences tab.
  4. Clear the Save transactions before printing checkbox.
  5. Click OK.

This will allow you to print without having to save the transaction.
